Principles and Practices of Project Management (PPPM)

This course will prepare project managers to take the Project Management Institute® Professional Certification Examination. In addition to the content on the examination it includes practical exercises, sample examination questions to be incorporated into the course schedule and suggested resources to support the examination preparation effort. The thirty-five hours are the requirement to qualify for the Project Management Professional® certification. Designed for Project Managers, Project Team Members, Functional Managers and Senior Executives based on the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge® Fourth Edition.

Earned Value Management (EVM)- 1 day

A practical elaboration of Earned Value Management and exploration of how to implement EVM on Projects. The course shall provide participants with the processes, tools and techniques to define project scope, create the project schedule and create a time phased project budget in a way that all three are woven into a coordinated project tracking and performance measurement system. It shall be based on earned value technique as described in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge® Fourth Edition.

Facilitating The Project Team

A hands on introduction to effective facilitation for small or large groups in a project setting setting. How to design a "kick off" workshop. Tools and Techniques for facilitating team planning meetings/workshops, lessons learned sessions, etc. Conflict management in group deliberations. Hands on experience at facilitation techniques.

This course will provide participants with the processes tools and techniques to assure that projects will incorporate continuous improvement through all projects. Project Risk Management- 1 day

This course will provide participants with processes, tools and techniques to identify, analyze, and respond to potential project threats and opportunities. It will equip staff to monitor and control project risks and opportunities as delineated in the risk response plan.

Management Challenge

This course will provide participants with enough understanding of the nature of best practices in project management to support effective projects. It will also introduce them to concepts behind scheduling, tracking and forecasting techniques and formats to help them interpret reports generated as a result of the training.
